Kansas Returning Veterans Conference

Due to the overwhelming response, event planners are
considering an additional returning veterans event later in 2008.
Information will be posted here as it becomes available.


In the next several years, hundreds of veterans and civilians will return to the Kansas City area from Iraq and Afghanistan. Estimates show that as many as 30% of these men and women will experience a form of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). At the same time, cuts to Medicaid and other mental health resources have severely limited the regional capacity to meet existing needs.
