Mid-America ATTC has developed several companion pieces to use with the
NIDA Blending Team curriculum, Treatment Planning M.A.T.R.S. :
Utilizing the Addiction Severity Index (ASI) to Make Required Data Collection
Useful. Counselors can use these checklists to insure
that treatment planning documentation, as well as case notes,
are individualized and comprehensive.
Foundations of Substance Use, Abuse and Dependence: This two-day curriculum focuses on participants’ life experiences and how those experiences have shaped attitudes, beliefs and perceptions toward alcohol and other drugs. The format includes short lectures, activities, group discussion, four videos, and two panels of guests (a recovery panel and a resource panel) who provide information and resources. As a result of participating in this training, participants will achieve a greater understanding of substance use, abuse and dependence.
