Substance Abuse Treatment For Persons With Co-Occurring Disorders Inservice Training Based on TIP 42
The Substance Abuse Treatment for Persons with Co-Occurring Disorders Inservice Training manual is designed for delivery by clinical supervisors with their staff. In addition to providing staff an opportunity to learn about evidence-based practices for the treatment of co-occurring disorders, the training can also help clinical supervisors identify areas for program enhancement or modification to better meet the needs of consumers with co-occurring conditions. Areas where more in-depth staff training and skill development are needed may also be identified. The eighteen 45-minute modules are developed for use in a learning environment that includes a mix of treatment professionals with various degrees of experience. This was done to facilitate peer-to-peer teaching and the creation of a learning community. The curriculum is now available through the National Clearinghouse for Alcohol and Drug Information (NCADI).
